The role:International Content Editor (Spanish) - Betfair International

We are looking for a Spanish-speaking International Content Editor to join our growing Betfair International team in Malta.

The newly crafted International Content Editor role will have end-to-end responsibility for delivering Betfairs editorial strategy in our International target markets.

With a specific focus on Spain, youll build on the success of our existing blog, Apuestas. Betfair, to establish Betfair as the go-to authority for sports betting news, insight and analysis within the industry. Our ability to generate value added content is our competitive advantage in the Spanish market, and your role will be at the centre of our marketing mix as we roll out our 2021 strategy.

Were looking for someone who knows Spanish sport inside-out and loves writing about it. In addition to our blog, the content you generate will be published on external sports news sites, tipster channels, social media, affiliate partners and other digital content destinations in essence, it will be at the heart of the Betfair brand in Spain.

Why we need you:

The International Content Editor will: •Coordinating our team of external writers to deliver 200+ sports betting articles every month. •Supervising content output on an ongoing basis to ensure our editorial is genuinely outstanding, and comparable with the best online sports journalism in the world. •Building relationships with teams around Flutter to ensure the Groups collective editorial output is accessible to, and demonstrated by, the Betfair brand. This will include localisation of UK-facing blog content where relevant. •Owning strategic partnerships with major publications like AS.com and equivalent online platforms, where Betfairs editorial will be surfaced to enhance the reach of our brand. •Writing sports betting editorial of your own and developing best practice templates to structure our articles. •Working with our Search teams to support SEO optimisation of content. •Sourcing new writers to build out the scale and breadth of our editorial capabilities. •Operational and budgetary management of external writers on a monthly basis.

Who were looking for:

Your experience: •Experience writing sports editorial content in a journalistic or marketing context. •Proven track record to manage third party content contributors. •Understanding and experience of general sports betting concepts is desirable, but not mandatory. •Commercial acumen and a will to deliver projects that impact brand metrics. •Experience in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

Your skills: •In-depth understanding of Spanish football, and major European sporting competitions. •Outstanding written and editorial capabilities. •Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential. •Excel & PowerPoint skills.
