Business Development Manager — Germany Euros 30,000 — 35,000

A key member of the sales team and reporting directly to the Sales Director and Managing Director, this is a Germany based field sales role. You will work from your ‘home office’ in Germany and will be responsible for the accelerated sales growth in this key international territory.

The German Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales & marketing plan that will facilitate profitable and sustainable sales growth in Germany. You will also be responsible for conveying a professional and dynamic face for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • To effectively generate new sales lead opportunities in line with the sales plan
  • To acquire new customers
  • To maintain and grow revenues from existing customers
  • Achieve weekly target number of customer / prospect appointments Accurate and timely completion of reporting requirements
  • Profitable development of selected ‘key customer’ prospect opportunities Schedule own appointments as required
  • Generation of quotations and order processing
  • Provide input and assistance to marketing in identifying and producing supporting materials for future campaigns, trade shows, etc
  • Provide market intelligence and product development ideas and feedback Maintain a territory sales forecast and pipeline report
  • Accurate and timely update of CRM system
  • Performance reviews with line management as appropriate
  • Develop effective working relationships with head office staff, enabling the smooth fulfilment of customer orders
  • Adherence to all health and safety rules and regulations

Key personal attributes:

  • Excellent sales skills — via telephone and face to face
  • Fluent German and English speaker
  • Up to date IT skills — Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM applications
  • A positive team member
  • Be dynamic and self-motivated
  • Good interpersonal skills and well presented
